„The Power Inside“: Interaktiver Film mit Hollywood-Größen
„The Power Inside“ ist ein Filmexperiment auf Blockbuster-Niveau im Bereich des Social Entertainments, an dem die führenden Köpfe Hollywoods, modernste Technik und die sozialen Medien mitwirken. 2013 ist bereits das dritte Jahr, in dem Intel und Toshiba in Zusammenarbeit mit preisgekrönten Regisseuren einen Film in Hollywood-Qualität produzieren.
Das Projekt von 2012, „The Beauty Inside“, wurde dieses Jahr mit einem „Daytime Emmy Award“ für „Outstanding New Approach to Daytime Programming“ ausgezeichnet.

„Die Art, wie Filme gedreht und Zuschauer in Unterhaltungsinhalte einbezogen werden, entwickelt sich stetig weiter“, erklärt Will Speck, der mit seinem Kollegen Josh Gordon Regie führt. „Interaktive Filme geben uns die Möglichkeit, Geschichten auf eine ganz neue Weise zu erzählen, da die Zuschauer aktiv mitwirken können“, fügt er hinzu. Co-Regisseur Josh Gordon ergänzt: „Durch dieses Projekt erhalten wir die Chance, mit Talenten aus allen Bereichen der Unterhaltungsindustrie, der Technologie und der Werbebranche zu arbeiten – eine bahnbrechende Neuerung in der Welt des Films. Es ist sehr spannend, diese neue Idee umsetzen zu dürfen und Zuschauern die Möglichkeit zu geben, an der Entwicklung des Inhalts mitzuarbeiten.“

Die Handlung

Der Film handelt von einer Invasion durch Aliens mit Schnurrbärten bzw. Monobrauen, die sich unter den Nasen und über den Augen von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt breitmachen. Hauptfigur ist Neil, der mit Hilfe seiner Freunde und modernster Technik seine innere Stärke erkennt, mit der er die schnurrbärtigen und monobrauigen Eindringlinge (Uricks) vernichten kann. Mit Intel Technologie ausgestattete Toshiba Ultrabooks™ spielen eine wichtige Rolle in Neils Reise zur Selbsterkenntnis.

Zuschauer auf der ganzen Welt können sich auf www.thepowerinside.com oder www.Facebook.com/insidefilms den Trailer anschauen und sich für eine Filmrolle bewerben. Wer zu den Uricks gehören und eventuell im Film zu sehen sein möchte, lädt auf der Facebook-Seite* einfach ein Foto von seiner Webcam hoch. Die Gesichtserkennungssoftware fügt automatisch einen Schnauzer oder eine Monobraue hinzu. Wer lieber auf Seite der „Guardians“ kämpfen möchte, lädt ein Video hoch, in dem er sich einen Schnurrbart entfernt. Eine Auswahl dieser Fotos und Videos wird in einer der Folgen des interaktiven Films zu sehen sein. Der Darsteller des Neil ermutigt die Zuschauer auf der Facebook-Seite von „The Power Inside“ zum Mitmachen. Die erste Folge wird weltweit am 15. August online zu sehen sein.

1. Limitations.

a. Upload material that contains an image of yourself only. If anyone else (including anyone else’s voice) appears in the material that you upload make sure you have permission from him or her.

b. Do not upload material that contains any music.

c. Do not upload any material with third party logos or names (such as logo hats, t-shirts, etc.) or third party artwork (such as posters, book covers, CD/DVD covers, etc.)

d. Do not upload any materials that contain:

Adult content, including sexual terms and/or images of people in positions or activities that are excessively suggestive or sexual;
Obscene, defamatory, libelous, slanderous and/or unlawful content;
Material that infringes upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary right, or that is deceptive or fraudulent;
Inflammatory religious content;
Politically religious agendas and/or any known associations with hate, criminal and/or terrorist activities; or
Hate speech, whether directed at an individual or a group, and whether based upon the race, disability, sex, creed, national origin, religious affiliation, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or language of such individual or group.

You expressly agree that you will not copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute or publicly display any content from the Gallery without our prior written consent.

2. Grant of Rights.
By posting any Material to the Gallery, you grant to Intel Corporation, Toshiba Corporation. and their parents, subsidiaries or affiliated companies, their agents including without limitation, Pereira & O’Dell LLC, and their respective officers, directors, and employees (collectively, the “Permitted Parties”), a perpetual, universal, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to copy, display, modify, pixelate, transmit, make derivative works of, and distribute your Material (in whole or in part) in any media and to incorporate the Material into other works in any format or medium now known or later developed. The foregoing grants shall include the right to exploit any proprietary rights in such Material, including but not limited to rights under copyright, trademark, service mark or patent laws under any relevant jurisdiction. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing and for purposes of clarity, you agree that the Permitted Parties may alter your Material by placing a “unibrow” or mustache over your image and may use the Material, edited or altered as the Permitted Parties so choose and combined with any other materials the Permitted Parties so choose, for any lawful purpose, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising and trade and in the The Power Inside videos and other related materials and you shall have no right to review or approve any use of the Material.

3. Representations and Warranties.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you are 13 or over; (b) you own or control all of the rights to the Material that you post; (c) you have all necessary permissions from all people seen or heard in the Material to allow the use of the Material permitted herein; and (d) the use and posting of the Material will not violate any rights of or cause injury to any person or entity, including without limitation the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person. You agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing any person by reason of any Material posted by you.

4. Release.
You are solely responsible for the Material that you post. The Permitted Parties do not have an obligation to delete, screen or edit any of the Material posted; however, the Permitted Parties reserve the right to themselves, or through a third party, delete, screen or edit any Material at any time and for any reason without notice. Without limiting the foregoing, the Permitted Parties may remove any Material for any reason including content that in the sole judgment of the Permitted Parties violates these Terms and Conditions, or that may be offensive, illegal or violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of any person. The Permitted Parties do not endorse any Material and take no responsibility and assumes no liability for any Material posted by you or any third party, or for any loss or damage thereto.

The Permitted Parties expressly disclaim any and all liability in connection with the Material, the Gallery or the use of the Material and you (a) release, discharge, hold harmless and indemnify the Permitted Parties from and against any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind (including, without limitation, arising from claims based upon invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) in connection with the Material, the Gallery or the use of the Material. In no event shall the permitted parties be liable to any person or entity for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, losses costs, or expenses whatsoever, including without limitation, resulting from (i) personal injury, death, or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of the gallery, (iii) any interruption or cessation of transmission to, from or via the gallery, (iv) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like, which may be transmitted to or through the gallery by any third party, (v) any errors, mistakes, inaccuracies or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of any use of the gallery or, (vi) otherwise resulting form the use of the gallery. The foregoing limitation of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the permitted parties are found to be liable to you for any damage or loss which arises out of or is in any connected with your use of the gallery or any content contained therein, permitted parties’ liability shall in no event exceed us $5.00.

5. Indemnity.
You agree that you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Permitted Parties from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs and expenses in any way arising out of your use of the Gallery or violation of these Terms and Conditions, including without limitation (i) all matters related to your access to and use of the Gallery, (ii) your violation of any provision contained in these Terms and Conditions; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, intellectual property, or privacy right; (iv) any claims that your use of the Gallery caused damage to a third party, and/or (v) violations of any and all applicable laws, rules or regulations from any jurisdiction.

6. General.
These Terms and Conditions and your use of the Gallery shall be governed by laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any action shall be brought in the state of California and you hereby consent to such jurisdiction and venue. In no event shall any claim, action or proceeding by you related in any way to the Gallery be instituted more than one (1) year after the cause of action arose. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by any court having competent jurisdiction, then that provision shall be deemed severable from the Term and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. The failure of any of the Permitted Parties to insist upon or enforce any of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, or to exercise any rights or remedies under these Terms and Conditions, will not be construed as a waiver of the Permitted Parties’ right to assert or rely upon any such provisions, rights, or remedies in that or any other instance; rather, the same will be and remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
