It was the parade of ships up the Hudson River as part of the Tall Ship Celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States There were 45 ships and up to 200 airplanes which flew over led by the Blue Angels .
I photographed it from the Retired FDNY Fireboat John Harvey docked at West 26th Street.
The Vessel saluted the procession by pumping water and sounding the horn to the delight of those onboard.
