Kiki Wolfkill: I help companies navigate the intersection of games, entertainment, technology, and emerging media [1]

After 28 years, I’ve made the difficult but exhilarating decision to leave Microsoft! Friday was my last day at a place where I grew up and learned so many invaluable lessons - how to listen, lead, be accountable, and most importantly, to care deeply for who you serve - your team and your audience. I’m so grateful for the opportunities that Microsoft has given me and the career that it let me build in an industry that I love.

At the same time, there is a version of me outside of Microsoft that I’m excited to grow and evolve. I have so many learnings to carry forward and more impact to be made and I couldn’t be more inspired to climb the next mountain! More to come on that front 🙂

In the meantime, to all the people with whom I’ve worked with and around over the last 28 years - a heartfelt thank you for your partnership, wisdom, mentorship, and camaraderie. What a gift the last 28 years has been... thank you, thank you, thank you 💚

Onwards!

Zumal, wenn darin die großen Veränderungen im persönlichen Fokus einer davon betroffenen Personen deutlich werden. Das ist hier der Fall und daher heute dieses Zitat: Nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. WS.

[1I help companies navigate the intersection of games, entertainment, technology, and emerging media.

My career began in game development at XBOX, where I spent more than two decades building products, teams, and franchises. As an Art Director, Executive Producer, and Studio Head, I helped create and launch titles including Halo 4, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Fable, Forza Motorsport, and Project Gotham Racing. That foundation in game development continues to shape how I approach franchise building, adaptation, and audience growth today.

Over nearly three decades, I have built franchises, developed intellectual property, produced content, and led teams responsible for some of the industry’s most recognizable brands. My work has spanned game development, transmedia strategy, licensing, film and television production, and franchise expansion.

At Xbox, I served as Head of Film & TV, overseeing adaptation strategy and development and driving 12+ film and television adaptation initiatives across Xbox’s first-party IP portfolio. I was also Executive Producer of the Halo television series and spent more than a decade helping grow Halo into a global entertainment franchise spanning games, television, publishing, consumer products, esports, live experiences, and digital media.

Today, through Wolf Standard, I advise executives, publishers, studios, investors, and creators navigating the convergence of gaming, entertainment, AI, and emerging platforms. I am particularly interested in helping organizations identify new opportunities for intellectual property, audience growth, franchise development, and cross-platform storytelling.

As a producer, I am actively developing and producing film, television, and interactive entertainment projects with a focus on world-building, franchise creation, and authentic adaptations that translate beloved properties to new audiences.

I am energized by ambitious ideas, disruptive technologies, and the people shaping the future of entertainment at the intersection of creativity and technology.
